i'm not quite sure if my doggy is a rat terrier.  he came to my doorstep at one in the morning about eight months ago.  no tags, and no signs of the actual owners.  he's made our home his now, and we're still not sure what he is.  at first we were certain it was some sort of chihuahua mix but then he got taller, and he is definitely too small to be a basenji.  so what is Dingo? he certainly holds the temperment of a rat terrier, is he one?

Welcome! Certainly not a chi, that's for sure. He looks like a rattie in your profile picture....maybe a mix with Basenji? I have no idea what a dingo looks like so no help there.

He's close enough for us though - so hang out and have fun!

He looks a lot like a rattie to me! Maybe he's not one, but he looks close! Or he may very well be a mix... But welcome! Hope you'll stick around!

I hope this shows up...this is a dingo (wild dog in Australia):Photo: Dingo in the desert

At one point we thought one of my male dogs was part dingo, but he was black/tan..we'll never know for sure what he was.

someone on here (can't remember who at the moment) has a rattie (mix?) that looks a lot like your boy.  how big is he?

Maybe some Basenji (sp?) in him too. I could spend all day trying to figure out what breeds are in our two rescued dogs.

You know... We've had a Basenji mix and, now, a rat-terrier mix dog and the big difference was one barked all the time (rat terrier mix) and the other never barked (the Basenji mix). Any likeness in yours?
