Sure!  I'm a few hours from Peggy, but y'all can stay with me and ride down there.  I have a sofa and a love seat, plus a couple of air mattress beds that will fit in the living room.

Sue,

You don't have someone to watch some of the kids?  I have 4 of my own and then 2 foster babies at a time so I hear ya about boarding.  Hubby will be staying home and I will be bringing one of my own and one foster kid.

We'll miss ya!

I'll miss you too, Paula!!  I hope to meet you one day!!  Unfortunately it's only me, I don't have any family nearby, and I don't want to have some stranger come in to doggy sit.  And not all understand why I have so many dogs and do what I do if you get my drift

I hope you guys have an awesome time!!  I'll be thinking of ya all!

I know what you mean Sue!  I don't trust my kids with anyone, but my in laws since they treat them like spoild grandkids!!  My hubby is staying home with the majority of the pack.  I normally have 6 here and 4 are ours.  I will be bringing two to Jamboree.  I am sure we will have plenty of photos and stories to share when we get back.

Thanks for holding the fort down for us!

I have some sad news, at least for me. Aka, Taffy and I will not be able to go to Jamboree this year. I recently had to have some major repairs done on my car and the quote for some house repairs was about twice what we needed it to be. Also, I don’t have the funds to pay for someone to stay with mom, nor can I find anyone to stay with her.

To say I am sad, is to understate it, but sometimes things in life just aren’t fair, and I’m getting a whole heaping dose the past month through the end of who knows when.

I hope that everyone has the very best of times.

A hui hou,
Cheryl

I just booked my room at the Magnuson Inn.  I'm getting so excited.  Has anyone stayed there before?  I've never traveled with Tinkerbelle before...I hope she doesn't have to go pee at 3am like she does here.  Will I be safe taking her out during the middle of the night?  Now, I am starting my worry list!  Oh well, I'm still excited!

Picturing Bill staying home with 5 dogs....he'd do it but the house would be a wreck when I got home and Mayfly would be back to pottying on pee pads all the time!

I've thought about that too Carol,  Bailey has to go pee about 3 am too.  Then when she hears something outside she has to go check that out too.  We are at the Days Inn,   so I hope it will be safe.   I've never traveled with Bailey before either so I have a worry list too.  But I too am getting excited.

Bringing hubby and my two ratties and driving 2 days to get there. Well, probably only 1½, but with all the pee stops for the girls and leg stretching stops for us, who knows?

I'll try to remember to switch my camera to "video" from time to time.  The event photographer takes really good photos and posts them on www.ratterrierjamboree.com for all to see, but I don't recollect videos in years past......just still shots.

Carol,

I am going to bring my 12 yo daughter Isabella with me, but I don't think she'll be up at 3am.  Probably Tink will sleep without our cats to wake her up.  Hope nobody's doggie start barking in the middle of the night...It could be a full out party at these hotels!

My route is a little different... I guess you could say.  I am driving to my mom's Thursday and spending the night then driving the rest of the way to TN Friday morning. That will take about 1.5 hours off my drive time on Friday.  But all together Cody, Apollo, Emma, and myself will be traveling 5 hours and 311.28 miles.

From Map Quest it says that it will be 335 miles and about 5 hours.
I may have a different co pilot than expected but that hasn't been decided yet. Amos and I will be coming along and my daughter may take my hubby's place. If she comes along, we will also be bringing Amos' fur brother Smoosh. We will see.

I don't know the mileage, but it's straight down I-75 south for me. Took me about 3.5 hours to Sweetwater last week when I drove to Atlanta.

From my house in Central AL to Sweetwater is 341 miles, about a 6 hour drive.

When you own a Rattie....you KNOW you are in your right mind

THE MEANING OF RESCUE

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
