THE MEANING OF RESCUE
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,

| It's a really long haul for me. Around 16 hours. Will have to break up the drive into two legs. But it'll be sooooo worth it to meet everybody and their ratties. |

Yay! This will be sucha great photo op!I am excited, but a little nervous.It will be the first long trip I have taken since my boy passed away...I know he will be watching over all of us. What will the weather be like?Has anyone ever stayed in one of their cabins?

Donna, last year it was pleasantly cool... a little out of the ordinary for here in Alabama at least. Usually by the end of April, it's pretty warm. Not sickenly hot, but warm... I am so excited Abby and I are going to get to meet so many members of our family!! |

Ok...my husband said, if I plan the trip and pay for it, he will go with me and my 4 ratties...It is 634.45 miles, 9 hrs, and 42 min...We have camping stuff...I wonder if we can camp at the campground? I dunno, a nice hot bubble bath at night would be nice. HhMMM...Have think about this one.
I decided to stay at a hotel and so you are welcome to use the tub for bubbles anytime you need it!!
This is going to be fun!!!!!!

Pam, my mom turns 84 on April 25th! But I'm not letting that stop me. I didn't get to do my Fall leaf color trip to Arkansas when she fell and NOTHING is gonna stop me from getting out of Temple this Spring!!!!!!! I'm totally stir crazy. I can't even remember when I got away for anything but business or family matters. But I so totally understand. Hope the birthday celebrations go well for all.
Do hope you and Bob can make the Temple meetup though. |
