Two weeks and one day until the meet-up at Nora's in Tennessee! Is anyone else getting excited and anxious? I have to keep resisting starting to pack my suitcase. :) I'm making lists of what I need to pack and what I need to buy.

I'm ready now! Especially with the SNOW on the ground from yesterday.
I am trying to decide what to pack, which suitcase etc.

Sarah, Russ' mom, suggested that we bring a jug of water from home for our pups. Their tummies might be sensitive to changes in water as we travel.

I asked my hubby last night what he was going to wear and what shoes he was going to take. He looked at me like I'd lost my mind and asked if it was this weekend. :) Of course, he doesn't normally worry about his wardrobe or plan his outfits anyway.

I have been anxious for a long time! I wonder when Nora will have our agenda. (I'm scared to see what we'll be doing - hee hee)

Hopefully we will have nice weather that weekend. The humans will need sunscreen.
It's way too soon to tell what the temps will be, TN weather changes fast- but a safe guess would be between 60-85 during the day. Nighttime lows of 40-50.

Don't forget the lawn chairs.

If I wear capris will the sight of my pale, almost glow-in-the-dark white legs scare y'all?

I'll be wearing earplugs at night because of hubby's snoring. I, of course, don't snore.

You can also just use bottled water for the pups. That's what I did when I went to Atlanta.
And their suitcase WAS bigger than mine!

Bob doesn't snore, but he sometimes whines in his sleep. Especially if I've rolled over on him or if I'm too restless. He will gripe at me sometimes if I change positions, because that means he has to change positions.

I hadn't thought about the plastic bags for poop clean up! Thanks for reminding me. I'll also need a container to put them in to strap to my luggage rack because they aren't going to travel inside the van with us.

when I walk Russ at rest stops, I always just toss the bag in one of their exterior trash cans, same at hotels.
Am I committing some gross social faux pas?

Also, dont forget to pack a food bowl & water bowl. Keep the water bowl handy to use at rest-stops so you dont have to unpack a ton of stuff just to get to it.

No I don't think so. I was just thinking about those times that might come up when you aren't at a rest stop or near a trash can.

Ok I'm glad it's not just me. Everyday Brad comes home and asks me how excited I am! I have a serious question though... should we bring the pups vaccination records? I mean I'm sure all of our pups are healthy but just in case?

I got Apollo this water bottle with this other plastic piece that pops out. When it pops out I squeeze the water bottle and water is dispensed to the plastic part for him to drink out of. It's really handy for traveling and long walks!

Jolene, I wouldn't travel with the originals, but if it would make you feel better, pack a photo copy.

Those doggie sipper bottles are cool, I need to get one of those.

We probably should make sure we have our vet's phone number with us in case, heaven forbid, something happens and we have to take our rattie to a vet in Tennessee. That way we could call our own vet for our rattie's medical history.
