Guess What?!

It is FINALLY time for another NC meetup!!  Except this time we are hoping for a BIGGER turn-out. 

Shannon and I have gotten together to schedule a meetup that is hopefully a central location for most of our members. I know that we can't be close to everyone, although I wish it were possible!  But we did try our best. 

We chose Asheboro, NC because several of our members are in the Charlotte area and several of our members are in the Raleigh area and Asheboro is exactly in the middle! 

Date:  October 20th, 2007

Time:  11:00am

Place:  North Asheboro Park -- 1939 Canoy Drive

Shannon and I also thought it would be a good idea to have a "picnic" type thing.  Either you can bring your own food to snack on or we can all get together and someone can bring the drinks, someone bring the chips, ect.  The main reason for this is because most of us will be driving a little over an hour and this way we can hang out together for a little longer! 

Oh and we are waiting until October because (1) Hopefully it will give everyone enough time to plan on making it and (2) Neither of us were thrilled about meeting in this 100* weather!

From our research online, this park seems really nice....picnic shelters, restrooms, paved walking trails, ect.

So who all is going to be there?!!  We are already getting excited, haha!

UHMMM....I'm NOT driving that far by myself!  (I don't do so good in big people traffic!!!)

Now Mrs. Brandy!!  We chose Asheboro because it's NOT a big city.  We could have done Charlotte or Greensboro, haha...then you would definitely be in 'big people traffic'.  I think you could handle it by yourself if you needed to! 

Yeah, but don't I have to drive through big people traffic to get there???????

Yeah, I'm so excited!!!

Haha, the countdown has begun!  I'm not excited at all! 

Just a warning, but Bella isn't the most social dog in the world. So I apologize ahead of time for her behavior because I'm almost positive she won't let anyone pet her. And she will probably squeal when/if anyone gets near her and she gets scared.

We are just now to the point where she will sometimes let Lance pet her. She is also just starting to SOMETIMES warm up to another rattie, yes I said rattie, she doesn't seem to like other dogs, mostly big dogs, haha. Lance, Cristy and I have gotten together several times and she finally plays with Anna and Ty a very little bit after warming up to them for a little while.

I also have no idea how she will react around this many more ratties. So we will see! I hope she behaves herself.

Count us in! Dottie is so excited to meet all of her furry internet friends!

Oh yeah....good point.  What would everyone like to do?  Would you like to bring your own things or would you like to make a list of people and each person can bring something?

If we want each person to bring something different, I could add the list to the top.  Just let me know!

Christy, her hubby Mike and their ratty Maggie (they are Air Force and stationed in NC, I think at Fayetteville!

As for food, for me it would be easier to just bring my own lunch and Aka's since we have a longer drive (2 1/2 hours one way) but I will do whatever the group decides

If you ever find a way to get here, you are always welcome to stay at my home! It may not be huge but it is always fun!

Even if you can't be here in body, we know you will be with us in spirit!!
