I got Apollo this water bottle with this other plastic piece that pops out. When it pops out I squeeze the water bottle and water is dispensed to the plastic part for him to drink out of. It's really handy for traveling and long walks!
Yeah, I have one of those---got it at Petsmart for 99-cents on sale. I also found a plastic water bowl w/ a snap-tight lid at Meijer. I tried to pick up a couple more of those last week, but they were all sold out.

I hadn't thought about the plastic bags for poop clean up! Thanks for reminding me. I'll also need a container to put them in to strap to my luggage rack because they aren't going to travel inside the van with us.
What are you talking about Pam???

I was just thinking if we had to pull over to the side of the road and let Bob potty, I probably should pick it up, but I wouldn't want to put it inside the van to take to the nearest trash can. It's biodegradeable so I guess I could just leave it where he drops it. :)

I just got through reading all the posts about the trip and I am totally pea green with envy!!! LOL I know that all of you will have a wonderful and grand time. Just be sure to remember to take TONS of photos for those of us who won't be there (said with a slight catch in the throat and a small tear sliding down the cheek!!) but seriously, don't forget to take the photos, the memories they trigger will be even better!!

I will be sending out positive energy and lots of prayers for safe travels, good weather and happy times for all.

Enjoy!!!

We don't dispose of dog poop in the country.... the dogs simply eat it! Simple disposal system! LOL
I don't think you'll need bottled water. We have spring water... no chemicals in it at all. Our water is furnished by an underground spring. Now... you might want to bring some empty containers so you can take some home with you. It's that good. I can't tolerate city water... my dogs won't drink it either. So if we go somewhere we HAVE to take bottled water with us. Boy I missed a lot yesterday. Sorry I was so busy and didn't "land" until late last night. Lots going on with me right now... Plus one of my trainers fell during the papillon nationals in San Antonio this past weekend and although her dog Hunter went on to win the nationals (awesome little dog !!!) ... she broker one disk totally in two and is scheduled for a surgical procedure on Monday. Please remember her in your prayers. She's having a HARD time right now.. . she's a great person and I'm so sad about this!

Oh, Nora! I am so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't imagine the pain she's in right now. Please keep us updated on her condition.

Thanks, Shannon.... I'm terribly upset about it. This lady is not my regular trainer that I take private lessons with, but she and I work our dogs just about every Sunday afternoon, and she brings her two papillons out to the house to work them sometimes. I'm very fond of her... she's been a huge inspiration to me.

Why do we need carpet cleaner btw?
