Oh, it's a portable pin.  That should be great for your doggies.  Tinkerbelle will just have to hang with me.  I just got back from the fancy shmancy pet store and i bought her a softsided travel crate.  It is so light and I'm looking forward to taking it, but when I got home I realized she will probably chew right through it.  Probably wasn't a very smart investment on my part.  Oh well, I'm already so far in the hole for this trip what's a little more!

LET"S GO!!!!

I went to bed around 11 last night, and I've been awake since before 4 am!  Too excited to sleep.  When I smelled coffee, I got up.(Hubby woke at 4:30 and put on the Go juice, guess he's a little excited about going too!)

I'm about to take my shower, then we are loading  up the SUV and we will be on our way!  Mapquest says it's only 4 hours for us, so unless we get side-tracked or lost, I'm gonna end up being there pretty early, but I'd rather go early and have the leisure to stop as much as I want along the way.  This is a long trip for Amos and I want him to enjoy it and not dread being in his crate anytime we travel.  I have the Dramamine and looked up the dosage.  He will be getting a little pill just before we leave.

Can't wait to get there!

3....2....1...BLAST OFF!

It's almost 6:30 am here, and we are heading out the door--got to stop to fill up the gas tank (UGH$$$$) then heading South to Sweetwater, Tn.  It's a 6 hr drive for us, so we should get there between 12 - 1 (our time) I have no idea what time that will be in Tennessee!  Time Zones do not compute with my brain.

YEE-HAW! I was up all night and finally went to sleep about 4 a.m.!  So, I'm just getting up at 7 a.m.  It's about a 4 hour drive for us and we probably won't get away until later this morning.  Still have a few things to do this morning.  I'm so excited!!!!   See ya'll in a little while! 

I can't believe this day is finally here!

Well, we have arrived safely in Sweetwater.  We've checked in and Hubby is stretching his back out for a while.  We'll probably rest a bit and then head out to the KOA campground around 3pm.  Traffic was yuck in the Atlanta area, but not as bad as I've seen it, but all the rest was really nice.  The dogwoods are still blooming here.  I did not get any pictures on the way up as I had to keep both hands on the wheel.

Amos did GREAT!  We stopped 3 times to let him walk and do business.  He's wondering around the motel room, like "What's this all about?"  LOL  when I went out to the car a few minutes ago, he stuck his head under the curtain and was looking out the window watching for me to come back.

Glad to hear you made it safe....Have a good time.....and laugh a little for me....

I hope EVERYBODY has a AWESOME time!!

I've just started packing...nothing like the last minute.  I can't leave until tonight because my daughter decided she wanted to try out for cheerleading and they have to stay after school til 6pm..urgh....anyway, I couldn't say NO because I don't want to be accused of ruining her life later.  We'll see you guys at the Magnuson around 9pm...I'll be ready for tomorrow, but I guess I miss out on the fun cookout tonight.  I'll be the one in the rat-terrier.com T-shirt and the cute little dog with a red bandana....you can't miss me!

Good luck with the cheerleading tryouts, those where some of my favorite times growing up.  I hope she makes it, she will love it.
