How many Louisiana members do we have now? Once we can all get to know each other we can maybe plan for a Spring or Summer meet up that would be easy for most of us. Maybe some car pooling??? Just a thought. I know Alysia is here in Lafayette with me so we could ride together if she would be willing.
My hubby owes me a weekend beings I am putting up with his hunting weekends for weeks now and will not end until sometime in January. So he will be able to keep my son that will then be 3 years old so I will be able to GOOOO!!!! LOL |

I live in Ethel which is about 20 miles north of Baton Rouge. Would love to try and work something out and meet y'all. I take care of my 85 yr old Mom, but you know I do need a break from time to time and I could think of none better than visiting with y'all. Let me know if anything develops.

| Wow I am so happy and surprised that we are getting so many people interested here in our local area!!! That is fantastic!! We will keep this open and will definitely plan for something in the Spring/early Summer time. Once we reach the early Spring time we can start an offical post to try and set a date which just might carry over to the early Summer time. But we weill work it out to were everyone can attend. The location has not been determined so we can all work together to figure that out in the end. I am so excited and look forward to this. As it gets closer we can discuss more in detail. Just keep in mind that this will be coming up in the near future. I am thinking April or May. You all are free to start tossing out dates and locations for us to consider. We will want something neutral so I guess if we can make a list of were everyone would be coming from that would be step one. Like Alysia and myself would be coming from Lafayette. If we can find some place that would be good for us to have a meetup with our ratties that would be good for everyone that would be great. |

| I am thinking maybe Memorial Day weekend. That way we could meet on that weekend and most of us would have the Monday off. I am looking for a dog park somewhere in middle LA. |

I think there is a dog park in Baton Rouge, though I haven't been to it. I will try to provide the link for anyone who wants to check it out.

I also remembered that the CKC has its headquarters in Livingston, LA which is about 20 miles east of Baton Rouge on the interstate. I wonder if they have any facilities that we could use??? |

I had try to stop by the dog park in Baton Rouge In January on the way back to school. I entered the information from that site into my GPS and it brought me to a park, but it wasn't a dog park. Just a playground and a baseball field. |
