So she psyched us out that first time. Her temp was steady 98.2 and then the next afternoon, went back up to 99.9

Today, different story..

Her temp is at a steady 97.9, Doc said she's going to pop. She started panting on the way home about 30 minutes ago. (She never pants.. so this is a telltale sign, for me)

Her respiratory is somewhat on the high side, but the panting has subsided.. about in the 90s, which is high for her (she's not a shaker or nervous dog, usually at a zombie like 40 range)

She lost her appetite this morning, and is spending a lot of time looking at herself "there".

I will keep updates throughout the evening. Sorry I was scarce.. I've been multi tasking work, kids, puppy kids, boyfriends etc.. ok, well boyfriend (singular lol)

Thanks My vet is my boss and all the girls at the clinic are so excited. I just called to let everyone know. And we've all been watching her for a few days now.

As exciting as it is, I am not really looking forward to yet another night of not sleeping over it. She won't let me.. she thinks I need to be right there for everything

NO! She psyched us again. We did an ultrasound today. Everything is fine. Doc prescribed setting her up in a "non escapable" whelping box (she might have them in my bed, otherwise) and leaving her at home unless anything happens that is out of the ordinary. He's going to check her Monday if nothing happens.

Oh no!  I've never had a dog have puppies but I've seen many mares do this same thing....all the signs are there and you expect a foal...then nothing.

Let us know when she "pops"!

Yeah our mares drive us crazy with it, but I'm like you and no puppy experience
