Hey everyone! I think I've asked this question here before but I thought I'd give it another shot in hopes that there are new people here. We adopted Rocky almost 2 years ago. He was about 1 year old at the time. He had been picked up as a stray in Moorhead, MN. We discovered that he has tattoos in his ears. He has a dark blue line about 1 inch long in each ear. The line starts at the base of his ear near the top of his head and stretches out toward the tip. Our vet said that he may have come from a breeder and the tattoos were how the breeder marked the pups. We're not even sure if he's a Rattie but we suspect he's at least part Rattie. I was just wondering if anyone's heard of this type of tattooing.

Thanks!

Rocky's Mom

I have heard of tatooing. I had a foster last year that had a tatoo near his groin. When I called the 2 places that they are registered neither had record of him. http://workingdogs.com/doc0095.htm Here is a link with a phone number. They may give you the other places number. I can't locate my old records on who I called. Hope this helps.
