OMG. I'm sorry, but WTH??? How, how do you refer to your dog as a cuddle companion and "my baby" and then say - "I'll be forced to take my dog to the pound?" GRRRRRRR. Makes me so angry, I could just spit. And I assume this is her first posting and she just happens to be all of a sudden moving to Wisconsin and can't take her "baby"?????

Oh, I have half a mind to reply, but will probably just smack my head off my desk instead...I'm sure that would be more productive anyway. *Deep Sigh!*

Where is this baby located? There are lots of local no-kill places, like Operation Kindness in Carrollton. Even the Animal Control in Plano is no-kill, unless the animal is sick or injured and not likely to recover.

no actually she has been posting a long time and surprise surprise i have told her SEVERAL times to contact ratbones but has she... NO.... sooo yes this super sweet dog is probably going to be at the pound because of her lack of initiative to find it a home... double grrrrr....really ticks me off also... ratties are so sensitive... its just not fair. my foster dog is turning out to be SUCH a ham.. she dances around on her back legs all the time and does the SUPER SLIDE across the floor on her side to you ... she is soooooo sweet.... if i didnt love talley.... JUST KIDDING!!!! hehe

Well, I must be having a really bad day, because I would love to by a ticket to Texas, take this "baby" and slap the he** out of her!!! I mean, why would you take your dog to a pound where they would be in imminent danger of being pts when there are so many no-kill options available. Because you are ignorant?!!!!

I know... there are many places she could have tried if she had not waited until the last minute... i know operation kindness has a LONG waiting list.. but like you said there are several others.... but trying to explain that to someone who obviously does not really give a s... is useless.... the head pounding on the desk idea would probably bring better results then trying to talk to her about it. on a good note, dottie has settled into her new wonderful home and the lady that first took her is trying to get pics to send to me....

Tracey, I will pick you up at the airport and drive you to this person's house, and slap her after you get through.    Sounds like she is too lazy to put any more effort into finding her "baby" a home other than posting on craigslist.

I know.. i made it a point to mention (and attach pictures) of my new foster dog and the fact that because it was timid in the shelter it was scheduled to be put down.... no one took the time to even take it out and walk it because it was so scared.... and that if her dog was timid (which she said it was at first) that it would probably have a slim chance of being adopted....

she just emailed me again....

He is very sweet, His rightful place is in your lap with you petting him of course he tries to steal a few kisses, or laying at your side nearly under you. Anything he can do to please you.. he does. He is 15 lbs on the nose with rather long legs, and typical rat markings. He is a pure breed just no papers

I once asked one of my bosses (lawyer) if a person has a clean record and has never been in any type of trouble - good citizen, yadda yadda yadda, what would happen to him/her hypothetically for slapping some one. I was told in all likliehood a small fine

I never knew Rattie's moms could be so dangerous.
Will she surrender the dog or is she trying to sell it?

Only when faced with mistreatment of the innocent - usually

I can't say if she really intends to just drop it off at the pound on her way outta Dodge or not, but that's what she states in her ad. Who knows for certain?

I'm hoping she just made it sound that way to get people to respond as soon as possible.

WIth this week I'd be more than willing to drive from houston to Euless just to kick someone's butt... no matter who they are. lol. But this woman is something else. Just because she says my baby and such in her ad doesn't really mean she feels that way. Maybe she thinks if people see it and say awww look at that dog who's so sweet I would PAY anything for him... then she'd make a pretty penny.
Better yet, ya'll just fly to the Houston Airport and we're make a car trip out of it... people and ratties in a car... should be fun
