This may be a bad idea, but I have a suggestion for a Ratbone fund-raiser.
How about if we let people "buy" the rt.com banner for a week, where they could have their rattie(s) up there for all to see?
I'd proudly buy a week so everyone could see the many beautiful poses of Lucy. (Maybe even two!)
What do you all think? |

Eh.. I think it's a lot of work to make one of those banners... as it is, you can make one of Lucy, and submit it... Plus, this site supports Ratbone, but also the other rescues (New Rattitude, Ratterrier ResQ)... Maybe for one month, but I kind of like the way banners are done now... |

| I wasn't trying to cut out all groups. I'm in it for all ratties. Does anyone know how long it takes to build a banner? |

| If we do it, maybe we can let people decide which group gets the money. |

That would be a great idea...for ALL the rescues.
One time for each rescue...I know all 3 of the Rattie Rescues are taking in some of the Puppy Mill bust rescues and all of them sure can use the funds! (Luckily the majority of that bust are all in homes now...whew!)
Keep those great ideas coming!!!! |

I think it's a great idea for a fundraiser! I'd also love to see how many dogs actually came into the various Rat Terrier Rescues! I know Ratbone took in 2 mommas with puppies, 1 pregnant momma and 1 unsocialized 9 month old puppy... how about the others? |

New Rattitude has: Two moms with 8 babies, 2 one year olds, 2 three year olds, 1 seven year old, and one 3-4 year old, and one that may or may not be coming (awaiting medical evaluation).
Most of the dogs are in rough shape with bad hips, terrible dental problems, etc. It's going to take a whole lot of donations to get these dogs treated and we knew that going in but there was no way we could ignore the situation. ALL the rescues that took in the NC dogs are going to need help. |
