I have a friend in Juneau. Is that anywhere near there? Also did you try looking at rescue groups there?

If not maybe try Sarah Palin?

Juneau is 22 hours away, if I remember correctly :-). Of course if you'd ask her if she knows anyone else or just happens to be visiting in the next few days  I'd appreciate it.

I'm still waiting on responses from the statewide dog rescues that I could find, but Metlakatla is an island, only accessible by ferry, so people who don't live on the island don't want to visit it.

Sarah Palin might not even want to go there.

OK, I will ask. THi friend of mine is a bush pilot so maybe he knows a pilot who frequents there? Long shot for sure. Sorry Sarah Palin is the only other person I know of in Alaska! But if she really wants my vote and your's she;d go there!

I talked with my friend and he wanted to know if we could find a more far away place from him to have a home visit? Anyhow, he said it's pretty remote and the ferry service there is really poor so thats probably why no one is offering to go there. My friend is actually in Colorado right now, but he said he would check with a couple of his freinds closer to the area. I would not count on it though
