Just got this email at work, if anyone knows anyone looking for a westie and it's okay to crosspost...................

Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances, I want to let you know about Shelbie. You know the addage, you tell two people and they tell two people and so on and so on and so on.

I've already contact West Highland Terrier Rescue, but if I can spare them, all the better.

Shelbie's mom has MS. They've put her in a nursing home and she can't have Shelbie. Shelbie is in temp digs now but there's no promise of her safety.

I don't know much about her; I just met her yesterday. Shelbie is a purebred West Highland Terrier (Westie). 8 years old, all white, cute as a button - she looks like one of those stuffed dogs they make. She is spayed but that's all I know of her health. By outward appearance, she' s fit as a fiddle. And she's sweet as pie. She is not housebroken. I'd take her but I'm maxed right now at 4 of own.
