Some people are really mean and heartless,

Saturday night I was walking Daxter outside and there was a guy walking by and ask me "Hey, do you want another dog?" and I said "Why?" He said " I just saw somebody left their dog in the next parking lot and drove away"

Soon after that I saw the dog, she is following us, so I throw her some treat to lure her in and maybe catch her, so I can give her a food and a warm bed and then fgure it out what to do next, but she is so smart, she took the treat and ran and then back following us. I told the police who was patrolling the area about the stray dog, they said they keep an eye and her and try to catch her if they can.

So, Sunday the animal control came try to catch her, got no luck, After that 5 police car came try to catch her, they surrounded her but no luck either.

She still out there when I walk Daxter Sunday night, and she follow us again. This time she barked at Daxter and they end up playing chasing together but she is so smart, she keeps her distance and not let me to touch her. I lure her again with a treat hoping she would come in to the lobby but right there at the door she stops and walk away. Oh well I tried but she scared. I took a gook look at her this time, looks like a mix lab, still young and she is so pretty with a golden color.

I just hope she will be OK out there and if the animal control catch her she can go to a no kill shelter and get adopted. She deserve a good life. I just sad knowing that she is out there by herself and it's pretty cold last night. I didn't see her this morning , I wonder what happened to her?

People are heartless. I remember about 15 years ago some people just dumped their dog out on 25th street, not a great neighborhood. Guy was driving by in his van (at the time it was cool)  and picked the dog up. It lived in his van for like a week or so and ate everythign in their..... from the charis to the bed, he finally found a home for Hector and that was the end of his rescue days. People are mean though, these poor dogs, just dumped to fend for themselves. How heartless can some be.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

At least your animal control and police try to catch them. Cops won't do anything for a stray dog in our town and animal control MIGHT come out if it's called in between the hours of 9-5 M-F.

Our late great cat Omri showed up after his whole litter was dumped in our neighborhood. There were black kittens everywhere. It was sad; especially when we found out they had kitty herpes, and that was probably why they were dumped.

(Though, it was kind of nice because he had his family around. Our next door neighbor adopted one of his brothers and his mom would stop by to check in on them every three months or so for the first year... Omri lived longest of all of them, but when he was nine he threw a blood clot. Turns out he had a congenital heart defect. It paralyzed his back legs. We could have had surgery for the legs, but the doctor said that there were just be more blood clots, which were painful, until one finally killed him. We ended up putting him to sleep. )
