As I have mentioned the people in New York do not know from Rat-terriers. I was lucky to find out about them.
I have also mentioned that hundreds of people have cornered me into talking about them, cause they can't belive how cute they are.
Also, they make an Idea city pet, because although many people adopt Jack and min-pins I have heard of many problems with their energy level and Rat have that wonderful off switch, if you do give them some exercise. And of course the size is good.
I have heard that animals have been tranported many miles for adoption.
New Yorkers love dogs and my housing develpment, with has 11, thousand apartments, just legalized dog ownership after 60 years of a no dog policy. This puts thousands of potential dog owners on the market.
That said I causually mentioned the possiblity of a NEW YORK rescue to a woman who happend to be the presisent of Mayor Bloomberg's Alliance for animals
She was very charmed by Nora and wanted me to pursue the issue--
I hear some areas of the country have to many ratties--Well NYC needs to get them if possible.
Who should I talk to about this??

I know this proably would be an expensive proposistion but I do not know how the funding for these things work at all
