You are very observant.  Yes, that is Ms. Padme.  She was returned.    She is back with us and learning some new tricks.  Its very weird having her back.  She is my first return.

I haven't said much about her because I am relearning her quirky ways and she has a lump we need to get checked out.

I can't imagine giving up my own dog and its hard enough giving up my foster dogs.

This family does not have names yet, but we have jokingly called them the swimming pool family.

They will be fostered in Wesley Chapel, FL which is close to Tampa.  Their transport to Florida is all set for Saturday and as soon as they are named, more pictures and even video is available I will be sure to post or have their foster mom post.

It is a lot of work to care for a whole family of Rat Terriers so I am very thankful to those who can take them.

I am back from my 1st transport.  It was great and that was one sweet little Mama dog.  The puppies are adorable and very tiny.  I hope that they all make it to Florida.  They were covered in fleas.  The lady who is keeping them overnight is going to bathe the Mama, so maybe that will help kill some fleas.  I felt very bad for the Mama.  She has some bad places on her skin and looks like she had a hard road.  I realize how lucky my little Tinkerbelle is.  I'll try to post some photos on the photo section of the pup's.  It was fun and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Thanks Paula for setting it up and saving this little sweetheart and her babies.

I hope they get those fleas taken care of. Poor mama with those babies. I think she is on a good road though.

UPDATE:

The Mom and 2 of her puppies made it to their foster home in Florida late today.  We lost 1 boy and 1 girl puppy due to dehydration that we did not know about.  We believe they are more like 3 or 4 days old and mom was so dehydrated that she was not producing milk for them.

They have been to the ER vet and treated and should bounce back from their rough start in life.  Kelly their foster mom and her family and friends will be up every 2 hrs for the next few days to feed the puppies with formula.  Mom should be ready to feed them herself in a few days.

Once all are for sure healthy Kelly will post on RT.com the progress.  If I hear any updates I will post here for the time being.  These poor darlings don't even have names yet so I will post that soon.

Thanks for the offer.  The mom should have milk in a few days and the remaining 2 puppies are being bottle fed every 2 hours.  They are perky and doing much better.  They will be weighed weekly to make sure they are packing on the pounds.

Their progress reports should be happy tails to post from here on out.

Sad news...the last 2 puppies did not make it.  We all gave our all, but it just wasn't in time to save them.
