Bonnie is finally home- and I think she knows it !! She and I had a VERY long day Thursday. Her flight was delayed more than an hour and it was another 30 minutes before they got her off the plane and to me. I was so releived to see she'd made it safe and sound and cried when I finally got to hold her for the first time. Her pictures don't do her sweet face justice. It's even sweeter in person. My mom did a name search and found out that Bonnie means sweet face. 
Bonnie is an amazing traveler! She didn't potty or get sick in her crate, or on the long ride home from Seattle to Portland. She seemed to know in an instant that I was her mom, and she took to my son right away too which was a huge relief knowing she can be skittish around men (he's built like one). He was laying on the couch when she came in and she immediately went to him, he talked real sweet and quiet and she went right to him for pets and loves. It was awesome!
Now, of course the bonding between Chloe and Bonnie has been a little slower, but I'm thrilled to report that they are getting along GREAT now. Bonnie had been a little out of it Thursday and Friday (so much so I thought she was much older than a 6 mo old pup) but by Saturday morning, she and Chloe were running around the house playing bitey -face and chasing each other and even doing the rattie 500. 
Bonnie is such a little sweetheart. She soaks up any attention you give her, she comes when called, she has a king-sized appetite (we're working on taking our time to eat like a lady) and has adapted to our routines like she's been here forever. I really think she knows she's HOME where she belongs. I honestly couldn't be happier - for all of us. This has been such an amazing experience and I really hope others consider adopting a rescue instead of buying from a breeder- or pet store!!
Sorry- no pics yet. I know, I know. I'm lame! I'm one of those few that don't have a PC at home, and my mom took all her arrival pics and hasn't sent them to me yet. As soon as I have them (hopefully tomorrow) I will post under the photos thread- I promise.
