Poor Gavin had an application for adoption but was rejected by the applicant because he has a sore leg sometimes.  We think it is probably due to an old injury that acts up sometimes....he also has a canine tooth that is broken off...so he had a hard life prior to coming into Ratbone Rescues.  The applicant wanted to compete in agility so it's understandable she wouldn't want a dog with a sore leg but poor Gavin still needs a good forever home!

He's super sweet, cute, loves to play with dogs or with his humans.  Very obedient....when he's in the yard I just call him and he runs to me and sits on command, waiting for his leash to be put on.  And after 6 weeks I still have not heard this dog growl!  Not even if another dog takes his food from him!  He would fit into almost any family, loves children, other dogs and ignores cats.  He's the perfect buddy for someone out there!

His leg is not a big deal (unless you want to do agility!).  Just every so often he's "off" on it...it's not like he's really limping or on 3 legs or anything.  He still loves to run and play (as you can see in the videos I recently posted!).

Oh Mary Beth, I want him to stay with you just so we don't lose touch with Gavin. I am kind of glad he is still with you.

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

awwww,   well, bummer.... but you know, a right family will come along....   and will love Gavin as he is.... He sounds so sweet. and sounds alot like my Indy...  he limps, which we think it's from previous injury before coming into my home and has an extra tooth, but he's such a sweetie pie.  He still runs and play and hasn't met a stranger.   Have Faith..... a perfect family will come around and will love Gavin as much as we all do.

Sorry to hear that, I am sure he will find his forever home that is better for him with someone who can accept him and love him unconditionally. Maybe this time is not meant to be.

Poor Gav, got a bum leg now and then, eh? Happens to the best of us. He is such a sweet handsome boy. Every time I see him I want to snorkle him with kisses. Ok, I'm a weirdo, but an honest weirdo at least.
