THERE IS A NEW FLORIDA FOSTER HOME! I need to contact Zippy's mom and arrange for picking him up but I will also be getting a mom and nine (yes 9) puppies. The mom is at least part rat terrier, and the person caring for them right now thinks whippet. Who knows what mix the pups are, as they are brown and two are black. She was pulled from the shelter on kill day and had her pups that evening. I don't have full details on her transport as yet but we are working on it. But here is the pic that was sent to me. I am so looking forward to this. With the mom, pups, Zippy and my Cameo and Rattagan, we'll have 13 dogs. That was always my lucky number. So here we go, jumping in with both feet, heck I think this is more like head first.

Do they know who the dad of the puppies is? Cute! CongRATS!

No unfortunately they don't but with the coloring they are pretty sure it is not a rattie.

Of course I am your friend and would be proud for you call me so. I have met so  many wonderful people here. Maybe one day I will get to meet some of you in person. I have always believed that:

Friends are gift you give to yourself.

I am probably am nutz but it will be worth it to save these babies no matter what kind they are.

Janie, you are that good kind of crazy LOL. OMG 13 dogs, that is just insane but yet it's so many lives saved. I applaud you and wish there were more people in this world willing to jump right into rescue head first like you are. You are truly leading by example. I pray for you and for everyone to get along with no "growl". Save a special spot in your lap for your Rattagan and Cammie - they truly are blessed to have you as their mommy and so many friends that get to come and play!!

Congrats!!  That is awesome that you are going to be able to help out all these sweet babes in need.  I wish you all the best with your soon-to- be full house!!  Mom is adorable - looks like whe'll be a good mommy too. She doesn't look like a mix to me.  Can't wait for pics of the pups growing!

Come on Valerie. Help is always needed, but you can just come to visit we would love that. However I don't know if there is enough help anywhere to help me, I'm out of my mind and loving every minute of it. But come on to Florida and we can both enjoy puppy breath and puppy bellies as soon as I get them.

Nora, I am the one that is proud to know you. You really do know me huh, well I try but this time I think it will all work out and not come back to bite me in the butt.  I will get attached I know, but knowing the process Ratbone goes through before they place a dog will make it easier to send them to forever homes with a smile plastered on my face. I hope they get adopted pretty quickly. Zippy is coming to me today so I'm getting started. I'll post some pics of all the dogs when they arrive and settle in. HUGS to you my dear friend. Janie, I have to laugh at Rattagan and Cammie they are going to be thinking "whose been sleeping in my bed and eating my food??" LOL.  I can't wait to see pics!!

Janie, God love ya!! I feel bad for Zippy too, probably real confused new surroundings and new people. What is good it is that dogs are very resilant, especially in a loving home like yours with Rattie and Cammie, they will settle into their routine and he will know he is okay. It has to be confusing for them at first with everything new. It would be so much easier if they understood us so we can explain that everything is going to be okay. I hope his forever home comes soon so he doesn't get to settled to have to move again. I wish the best for Zippy and all these dogs in rescue, breaks my  heart and causes many sleepless nights thinking about the trials and tribulations these dogs go through, they handle it way better than I ever could.
