The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

| My mom would call my sister Miss Priss because it would take her so long to get ready to go anywhere. Her primping was out of control! |

Haha - Lady Jane (I think) was one of Henry VIII's wives who was beheaded! She got too full of herself!

I gave Connie a bad time, Gwacie, and then blamed it all on you.

Well I swanny, MB, where have you been. That is old southern slang that is used often in NC, don't know about Florida though. Nora is in Tennessee that is probably why she knows it. It's a different way to say I swear.
Why not just swear instead......
Because a well raised southern girl would nevah use profanity! lol
My Granny raised me and said "Well, I swan" or "I swanny" very regularly. I picked it up from her. Still say it on occassion with out giving it much thought. My daughter told me not too long ago that she always HATED when she heard me say it because it sounded to "hick". Then she told me, SHE's started saying it toooooo!
Congratulations to Zippy and his new life! So glad that Zippy's mom took the time to come by our site to find someone to rehome her dog with.
