Me too! Me too! Zippy... your furkid will be in "hog heaven" with Janie and Phil. They are wonderful, compassionate people and have just moved into a wonderful new home with a fenced in back yard. I hope and pray this works out!!

Zippy's Mom, we can tell from your posts that you love the little guy and hate to have to rehome him. Your neighbor sounds like a very unhappy soul. Make sure he knows when Zippy is gone or I'll bet he still complains about "barking" or he'll find something else to complain about.

Janie, I'm glad you will be fostering Zippy and we will be able to keep up with him.

... Enduring judgement isn't helping.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate those of you who would like to help. Forgive my frustration, as this is not an easy situation.

You have my sincerest apologies. I posted at a time when I shouldn't have been (wrong frame of mind after an incident at the park with some ill-behaved dogs). I'm terribly sorry for your situation.

YAY! I hope things go as planned, I love a quick easy happy solution and welcome to the team I hope Janie. Zippy's mom, I'm sorry you have to give up your dog. As you've learned, if left outside untended ratties (and many other breeds) will bark and dig. It's too bad your neighbor is such a curmudgeon.

At my age, I don't stretch well. I may just have to send you an email telling you that you're acting like a "know-it-all" and you think everyone else here should be as "rigidly intelligent" as you are! LOL LOL !!

Just be sure if you're gonna use those big words on here... that you spell them correctly so I can look them up!!!

Well if we are talking about the meaning of words what does "cripes" mean?

My Grandpa always say "ohhhh for cripes sake". I have no idea what he means!!

Nah, this thread is ALL GOOD! Looks like we're leaning toward a happy ending. I'm sure Janie will start a new updated thread when things have been finalized.

Not sure about "cripes" sounds like a word that would've been originally made-up to replace using the Lord's name in vain. My grandma was always concerned for "Pete's sake"

Cripes: Can be used in places like Oh for heaven's sake, just an old play on words. And it is used to take the place of using the Lord's name in vain. Kinda like Jimminey, or Geez. Here's one for ya, Jumping Jehosaphat. I haven't heard back from Connie yet but I will. I think she's coming out tonight to see if we can get the home visit done and see if I can go get Zippy.

Well I swanny, MB, where have you been. That is old southern slang that is used often in NC, don't know about Florida though. Nora is in Tennessee that is probably why she knows it. It's a different way to say I swear.

I've heard people down here in Texas saying "Well, Jiminy Christmas." And what does the "H" stand for when someone says "Jesus H. Christ"? Wow, we've gotten a little off topic, huh?
