Mitch you are a doll. I asked you once where in Texas - I wasn't being nosy exactly. You have NO idea what a valuable rescue resource you'd be for us down in your state. Texas is like a rattie dumping ground and we (and by we I mean Ratbone in this case) are forever trying to get dogs out to states that can foster or adopt the ratties.  Fostering and transport resources in TX are a huge need.  THANK YOU for considering helping. (evil cackle, I just knew we could lure him into rescue hahaha).

The email said she's spayed, but nothing on whether or not she's up to date on shots or how old she is.... I'd call but I'm at work right now... and LD calls are frowned upon....

Thank you Mitch!!! It's true, Texas has too many ratties in shelters.  Anything you could do to help RBR help these ratties would be super cool!

Thanks Sue, I'm liable to need your help to handle all this right. I am so excited myself. One of the dogs, Zippy is coming today, I'm not sure of when I'll get the mom and pups. No thanks are needed, without Ratbone we wouldn't have Cameo and our lives wouldn't be as full of fun, joy and galloping pups if not for Ratbone.

Zippy is on his way here now. His mommy is bringing him to me with his vet records. They are really saddened by this turn of events but want to do what is best for Zippy without doing a shelter thing. She didn't want that for him. They just can't move from where they are and most places in Florida don't let you have pets if you rent as she does. I am glad she found the site and posted here. Now Zippy will have a chance to go another good home where he won't have to put up with a grumpy old man for a neighbor. I hope he gets the chance to bark at the old fart one more time for good measure.

I would love to see them record the barking and after Zippy is out of there, play it often. Let the police and owner search all they want. "What dog officer, I have no dog, how can there be barking"

I like your mean side too Vicki, sounds like a good idea to me. Thanks for the compliment Mitch. Well Zippy is here, I've got a couple of videos and few pics I think to post. But I need Phil to help with my computer, it doesn't want to pick up the card reader. Zippy is timid and I can't get close enough to touch him much yet. He is still looking for his people. Ratty and Cameo are not having any problems with him at all. He is starting to approach me now and I'm sure he will settle down once he knows they aren't coming back to get him. He is a good boy, I've only heard him bark once. I was told that it takes longer for Zippy to get used to people, he did get used to Ratty and Cammie quickly and they to him. They ran and played in the yard for an hour. I made them come in it's too hot for man or beast out there so it is definately too hot for the ratties. Christine and her son are really sweet and it broke their hearts to do this. But her son looked at me and said he was happy for little Zippy since he would be here with me, all of this with tears in his eyes. Neither cried but it was a close call for them and for me. Zippy is neutered and is up to date on shots as far as I can tell from his vet records. I'll post some videos this evening or Phil will one or the other. We are working on getting the mom and pups now. I'll give an update when I know more. Thanks everyone!
