My name is Denise. Robin from Rat Bones advised me to send a post here. I was approved to adopt a puppy from Rat Bones, but because the pup got very sick during travel, the adoption fell through. We will provide a great home to a puppy! Please help us find the right guy...we are looking for a male puppy - younger than six months. He should get along with other dogs and (although we don't have them ) kids as well. Please if anyone can help or you know of a female that is having pups, please please let us know. We live on Long Island. If you need anymore info, just let me know. Thanks |

I'd check your state shelters and rescue places if you haven't already. Petfinders is another option. There are also other rat terrier rescue groups other than Ratbone. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a boy. I'm looking for a girl out on the west coast and seem to run across more males than females- most the time. Good luck with your search! |

if your willing to take a trip down to north carolia I know of a few really good breeders! and a couple of good rescues too! try searching PETFINDER.com! good luck and welcome back with you new addition! |

I'm sorry the adoption fell through. 
I'm not sure how far away these pups are from you, but this is what here's a few I found on petfinder.com
a male chocolate tri, says he's 4 months old

There are a few mixes there too, I don't know if you are set on a purebred or not. Depending on who you adopt through, they might be able to arrange for transport, like Ratbones does. |

| Nope there is another girl going to the same foster home from Ohio. BTW, I am still waiting to hear on Gidgette but when I called the shelter they said she was adopted out so hopefully the Canine Crusaders person pulled her. Waiting is a bit nerve wracking! |

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I live on Long Island. I am pretty set on a male. I am very set on the puppy piece. We had a rattie mix that we got from a no kill shelter for 6 months. Unfortunately he had a congenital heart defect. We hung in there with him until it was no longer fair to him. We really would like to get that puppy bit back. That's the first contact we've had with the breed and LOVED IT!!!!

I found this breeder that is in Ransomville, NY Between Buffalo and Niagra Falls. They have some expected littlers this month here is the link to thier website. Found this link on the Rat Terrier club of America Website.

| Ratbones just got a litter of 10 week old standard size puppies....they are going to a foster home in NY. I believe there is one male in the group and 4 females. They'll go fast so if interested put in an application ASAP! |

| I sent her a PM about it MB and Robin (the AC) is in touch. I think Denise is looking at another pup from another rescue this weekend so she may have found one but if not Robin will tell her about Bingo (the only boy - the one with THE CUTEST face ever!!) |
