I received the following email from a lady in Iowa who I had contacted previously about a rattie in a shelter. (She must've saved my address in case she ever had other ratties in need )

I told her I would post them here to help spread the word.

Tracey,
In addition to volunteering at the shelter I also run a rescue with a few people. The rescue is Midwest Dog Rescue Network we have a mamma and 6 puppy Rat Terriers.  Can you help get the word out?
Here is a link to our Petfinder listing with some of them.  http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/IA155.html  Not all the puppies are out there just yet.

He thinks he can take on the world. He is a very active little guy but will alway curl up on your lap and take a nap.

WILLOW: Willow has a very outgoing personality. She is always up to something.
She and her brother Wyatt are the smallest puppies in the litter but what they lack in size they make up for in personality.

Here are their listings on petfinder. My goodness, but they are all so stinkin' cute
This info is included with each posting (with a little personality for each individual):
Rat Terriers are a very active breed and will need a home that will keep the excersised and stimulated. They make wonderful agility/obedience dogs.
We are just starting to take applications of this litter of puppies. They are 8 weeks old and will be ready for home within the next couple weeks.
All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract.
All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. To help pay for their medical bills, $250 a donation is requested at the time of adoption.

WHITNEY: Whitney is the explorer of the litter. She is the first to check things out. She has a wonderful personality.

Oh I knew I shouldn't have looked at this!!!! They're absolutely adorable, but I just can't take one right now. However, where in Iowa is she?

Beth: She is in Council Bluffs, or nearby, I believe. They aren't in any danger. And the adoption fee is kind of high. But she emailed me directly
asking for help, so I thought I'd just put them out there. Whitney is pulling at me for sure, but I can't have one right now either.

Wow! They are so adorable! Whinnie looks so out of place  She looks like a beagle with a docked tail! I think I'm partial to Whitney as well but they are all so darn cute!

These guys are "safe" and, I believe, in foster homes now as opposed to a shelter. I was just offering to help spread the word, especially since we have
so many rattie-savvy people here. I'm sure there will be lots of people who fall in love and want one. Let's just hope they're "forever" type people.
