Just came to work and did my routine checking of shelters  First thing I saw was this poor little guy, scheduled to be euthanized 4/19/08. I emailed Ratbones and Rat Terrier ResQ to find out if they are aware of him yet or not.

Scotty McDuff is approximately 2 years old and about 14 pounds. This dog is available for adoption March 11, 2008! Scotty McDuff is a friendly little lad. He is a bit frightened but likes to be a lap dog. He is good on a leash and he is very very soft! Because this dog is a stray, it is unknown if this dog is good with children, cats or if they are housebroken. You can pay the adoption fee before then to ensure that this pet will become your family member, if not claimed. Due to overcrowding, the shelter will be forced to euthanize this pet very soon. For general information about this pet, please e-mail ddulaney@wac.com. To check on availability of this pet, you must call the shelter at (209) 385-7436. If you can help this dog please call or go to the Merced County Animal Shelter immediately. --Their hours are Mon-Fri 9:30-1:00 2:00-4:30 (closed for lunch from 1-2) and on Sat 10:00-12:00 1:00-3:00. (closed for lunch from 12-1). They are closed Sundays & holidays. -- If you are driving a distance, please call (209) 385-7436 ext 4806, and make sure this pet is still available.

Althought since I have Cody an our other FM's are full or will be soon I hope we can do something.
Lets get the word out and maybe he can be adopted out befor erescue is needed!!! We have 10 days to work magic here!! |

Yippy!!!! Looks like our prayers might be answered. I am going to give my foster Cody aka Bubba to another foster momin our group. She is new fostermom and needs a positive foster for her first. Cody is almost the perfect dog so I will give him to her so I can safe Scotty.
Whew!! this took some work. As they all do!

Well I have good news. A rescue already saved Scotty. I was calling to make the final arragnements and she said he had already been picked up by rescue. So thank you to whom ever got him!!

Yep, I am keeping Cody. I am glad because he is such a joy to have around. He is so calm, you would never know I had 3 dogs here.
