Here is a link to pictures of Tiny:  http://imageevent.com/rattiemom/tiny?n=0 Here is a video link of Tiny:  http://video.yahoo.com/watch/2386034/7442630 The following is information on Tiny, the little Rat Terrier Rabone Rescued pulled from a Middletown, NY shelter: Here is Tiny's petfinder page while at the shelter: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=10502289   Tiny is a 9 pound, 1 1/2 year old Rat Terrier and and has PDA - a heart condition that can be corrected with surgery. Tiny deserves a second chance at life!   He is scheduled for surgery next Wednesday (April 26, 2008) with a local cardiologist, Dr. Wey.  We have gotten an estimate of the total cost of Tiny's care, including the initial visit, diagnositics, surgery and follow-ups, and it will be approximately $2,500+.  Tiny had his first consultation with Dr. Wey yesterday.  If Tiny does not have surgery, he will die within the year.  Left much longer, surgery wouldn't have been able to help Tiny.  We caught him in the nick of time.    I wanted to do something to help raise funds for Tiny's surgery. THANK YOU EVERYBODY!  I went and met this sweet little dog last night at my vets.  My goodness, what a sweetheart. He is staying at my vets until his cardiologist appointment tomorrow. They think it'd be in his best interest to remain in a very calm environment and god forbid if something happens, he's where he needs to be.

He IS tiny - he didn't look that tiny in the pix Michelle sent, but he really is a small little boy. Everybody said the same thing "nobody has told Tiny that he's sick..." I could feel his PDA murmur through his chest... very weird ... poor little guy. He doesn't seem to be in pain or anything and is eating and pottying fine, but my vet reminded me that he is still a sick little guy.

Thank you, Maureen.  As of today, we have about $700 - but have about $1800 to go!!  Surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday, April 23rd.  THANK YOU FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS!!  Tiny is such a beautiful boy and deserves this 2nd chance at life!
