2 Year Old Purebred Rat Terrier "FREE" to Good Home (Gig Harbor)

Reply to: comm-631885725@craigslist.org
Date: 2008-04-05, 7:57PM PDT

We have a 2 year old Male Rat Terrier that is housebroken and is current with immunization and shots. The dog is very loving, and good with kids.

With new responsibilites we do not have time for the dog. Please call and we can make arrangements for pick-up. These dogs go for over $400 when they are pups.

There is a kennel and some other pet toys that are included. Please do not call if you do not have the time or proper environment for the dog.

Serious Inquiries Only

Please call Jenn at 253.265.2123

i was looking on craigslist to see if anyone was giving up there rattie and this is what i found why would you give your dog up

Do you live in an apt or house, cause I have 4. But I have a big back yard they can run and play, then come in and play some more...

Mmm? I'll never understand giving away your dog. But if the dog is being neglected maybe a more suitable home could be found?

I'd email them info about the Ratbones "Gap" program. This would ensure that the dog went to a good home.

Some people think having a baby is reason to get rid of a dog, though I don't agree with it. I was watching Bringing Home Baby on TLC one day and the mom did NOT want the new baby around their dogs at all. The dogs were locked outside... the hubby ended up taking the baby out to meet the dogs while the mom was in the shower but she saw and got ticked. She said that where she was from dogs are pretty much considered rodents... She was acting like the dogs were going to try to eat the baby or something. UGH!

ARRRRGGGH! I so HATE any "FREE" pet stuff!!! NO pet should be FREE. It invites scum of the earth!

Hoping she gets really caring Rattie people who offer to rehome!
Just my opinion but It should not matter WHY she is wanting to rehome...I have noticed that when people inquire why? it causes defensiveness.
Who cares!!! Just that they care enough to try to find a new home should be enough.....

But "free" is scary...I was a part of a group who called news papers, Craigs List ETC to ask people who were advertising "Free Dogs,Pups,Kits, etc to please change their ads...ask for $$$...because so many fight groups and pupmills look for those ads..

Breaks my heart.

I wish I could, but it's not the right time for a second pup for me. These posts make me so sad. I hope you hear back soon from these people.

This poor dog...he had found a new home, but came back for being "too" over protective of the youngest child. So he needs either a home with just small children, or maybe no children at all. He really is a fabulous dog, but we can't keep him because he's in his kennel for about 12 hours a day while we're at work, which obviously isn't fair to him. He's 1 1/2, house trained, knows basic commands, he's good with cats, other dogs, and even guinea pigs! If you are interested in him PLEASE email ASAP!!! He needs a good home!!! Let me know a little about your home, so I can determine whether he'd be a good fit or not.
A small rehoming fee will apply, but isn't much.
