Hi all. I just filled out the application to become a foster mom. I have never been a foster mom before and not sure what to expect. Please let me know if I need to do anything. We do not have a fenced in yard, but Mimzy uses our next door neighbors fenced back yard when she wants to romp and play. My neighbor has a Golden Retriever, called Beau and I think Mim's smitten with him. They have such fun playing together! She does good on a leash. Mimzy is my baby that we got from Lanier Humane Society back in December. I picked her out because of her name, of all things! The name just seems to fit her. She is crate trained, housebroken and likes cats! I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. Her foster mom had such a hard time saying goodbye. We have a calico cat, Anna The Kitty that we adopted 8 years ago. She is still getting used to having to share us with someone else! We have finally worked our way up to both of them in our lap, curled into balls, with fur touching and no fighting! That is a miracle in itself!
My brother in law in Connecticut sent us some homemade dog biscuits and the recipe for Christmas. Mims loves them! She is eating Brandon Farms dog food and has lost about 4 lbs. She was a bit over weight when we got her. I am excited about becoming a foster mom. Mims and I snuggle at night and she gives great kisses! She keeps our yard cleared of unwanted critters and has made friends with the neighbor dogs. She knows a few commands, also.
Well, I guess that is it. Oh by the way, the avitar is from when we went camping this past January. It was Mim's first camping trip. She did great!
