Evening Rat Terrier Friends,

I got a posting from our Foster mom Yahoo group about 2 Rat Terriers who are at risk of being killed.  The shelter is in Austin and we do not have enough volunteers in the huge state of Texas to help as many as we would like. 

These two will be vaccinated, spay/neutered and given a health certificate from the shelter so we need to raise funds to fly them to a foster home.  We have a volunteer in Canada who is willing to foster them, but we have to get them there first.  I  will know soon how much it will cost to fly them and update this thread.

Would you like to donate to our flight kity to get these rattie kids into safety?  If so, please send funds to my paypal account (smiles4lifepkn @ yahoo.com    Remove the Spaces)  There is the usual fees taken off the top from Paypal so please keep that in mind.  Every dollar counts.  All donations are tax deductible so keep a record for next years taxes!

It would be great if we could keep the flight kitty full at all times for ratties like these.  Also if you are able to volunteer in some way in the state of Texas this would be of tremendous help!  Email me directly if you'd like to know more.

Normally the funds donated directly into Ratbone (from what I understand) don't cover flight kitty situations.  I could be wrong, but that is my understanding.  It covers vetting, spay/neuter and pull fees (there could be more I am not the expert.)

UPDATE: One of the two ratties in Texas was reclaimed by its owner so the one they have called Terry will be moving to the Canada foster homes soon.  I will update you as things progress.
