just saw these three on Petfinder - not sure if Animal control is a kill unit or not and there are no pics. Is anyone around that can check them out?

sorry, I'm a little to far I emailed them though asking the usual questions...

I just don't like how they have no photos on petfinder, and the description is odd:

(same description for all 3)

The Rat Terrier is an intelligent, very inquisitive, lively, alert and loving dog. It is an affectionate dog and makes an excellent companion for those who will enjoy an energetic, hyper dog. They are good with children especially if they are raised with them from puppyhood. They are fairly territorial, stubborn, and for the most part friendly with strangers.
Rat Terriers make good watchdogs. They are not good swimmers and need to be closely monitored around water. These dogs are quick and very playful and are not yappers. The temperament of these dogs is pure terrier. The lively, feisty, fearless nature can be found in the best of terriers. This breed may be slightly difficult to train. They make good farm dogs.
Rat Terriers will do OK in an apartment as long as they get at least 20-30 minutes of exercise a day. They are fairly active indoors and should have at least a small to medium sized yard. Rat Terriers love to dig, and they can get out of a fenced yard relatively easily. Provided they have the proper protection, they are able to spend a good amount of time outdoors.
The breed enjoys challenging games and outdoor romps.
The Rat Terrier is easy to groom. An occasional combing and brushing to remove dead hair is all it needs.
He/She will need to be neutered/spayed by his/her new owner. He/She is eligible for a special offer through ShelterCare Insurance as a Petfinder.com adoption and it is recommended that all newly adopted animals see a veterinarian as soon as possible for a checkup. Surgery, vaccinations, worming, flea treatment, heartworm testing and prevention can be discussed at this time.
This dog will do well in a city setting with a fenced-in yard and if given enough exercise or in a country home as an inside dog.

It would be better and more likely better chances for the dogs if they would take their pictures and post them....

Sometimes some people doesn't know what a rat terrier looks like.....    We even had someone pulled a dog out of the shelter when they thought was rat terrier, and once it got to their home it was a sweet beagle.

Sometimes they just have to put down a breed to put them in petfinder.com .  even thou they are not excatly sure what they are but as close as they can get it.

It's true Mardi. In fact the way I learned about RTs was through working with Toy Fox Terrier rescue for years - often the breeds are mislabled either as the other or as Jacks. Several of the TFTs (so called) that we fostered had to have been RTs IMO, knowing now what I do about them.

Anyway, hopefully they are working on photos and/or someone in the area can check them out. Seemed a bit odd that they got three young RTs in at the same time.
