I cannot do my own post so here is what I want posted.... Stray Ratties in Trouble in Carlsbad, CA Shelter..
I got a call from the Shelter in Carlsbad, CA today telling me that they are looking for a rescue group to take these two ratties. They are not doing well and have been there for a week. Picked up as strays, they are a neutered male and unsprayed female.
I was told they were going to be pts, if a rescue group does not take them.
I see they ARE listed up for adoption on the shelter website, so I’m not sure what is going on.
I am to get a call back on Tuesday, because they are closed on Sunday and Monday. I WONDER if they are just lost and need to find their original owner.

| poor babies. They are not doing well prob because they need some love and attention. I hope someone can save them. Keep us posted. |

Shelter closed Sun & Mon. I will talk to them again on Tuesday.
I posted this all over the place and contacted all the rescue groups. |

I had an offer from someone to take them until they get adopted, but they need to be sponsored by a rescue. The lady is on Patsy's Board, Rat Terrier Friends. North of Chino.
I also have some local rescues I have contacted.
Let's see who steps up to the plate.
Maybe they are just lost and waiting for their original owners?? maybe?? |

Chino... that's up by LA right? I think we have a couple members up there... But if your having trouble finding transport volunteers, let me know. I might be able to borrow a car, ROAD TRIP!! 
Have you heard back from any rescues yet about sponsoring? |

I finally got the lady in Chino. She is in an area that only allows two dogs and she already has two dogs! That is not a good idea to get her into trouble by having too many dogs.
Lets put our heads together and see if there is someone else who can foster these two. Or at least find their original owners.

I did reply to your email request for help, Dawn. Our CA state coordinator Linda Rivera has tried to reply to you three times without a response from you. Ratbone has someone evaluating these dogs.

Rat Boy pulled on Saturday and is in his new foster home. I just talked to his foster mom and everyone loves him. He is adorable and well mannered. They are calling him Ricky.
