Meet Duke, a big dog in a small body.  Duke is the little dog that Linda found running in and out of traffic on a busy Alabama road.

Duke weighs only  11 pounds, but don't tell him he's small.  He's self-confident  and friendly when meeting both humans and dogs.  He's an active dog whose short legs go a mile-a-minute when he's on the move.  He loves running around outside exploring his world.  He doesn't miss a sight, sound, or scent.  Yet, he's just as content to lie around on the sofa when there's nothing going on.

He is very food motivated, which is good when training.  He loves learning new things and with only a few lessons has learned to "sit" and "down".  It's going to be fun teaching him new things.

Learn more about Duke from his photo album:  http://imageevent.com/rattiemom/duke

This is one great little dog!  I'm enjoying watching him show more and more of his personality with each new day.

He isn't on the Ratbone website yet...will be sometime next week.

Duke is adorable!! His face reminds me so much of Bob with his "widow's peak" in black and big wrinkles. Sniff, sniff.

I'm sure he'll find a forever home real soon.

Paula, I think you just said a mouthful!  I believe you are entirely correct...Duke is going to turn out to be quite a character.  Rick and I are already smitten with this little guy!  There are some special qualities that he has still hidden in his pockets, I'm sure.  Can't wait until he pulls them out!

Sylvia,

If you already have an application in with Ratbone you can just tell the application team member who has your application that you are interested in Duke. Do you know who that person is?

Here is my email if you need to email me off chat smiles4lifepkn@yahoo.com
