I met Lynda in Walterboro, SC this morning at 11:00 AM and got Brutus. He is so much bigger than I thought, but then it has been several weeks since I helped transport his brother Toa.
Brutus slept all the way back to meet his new family. They came to my house since they have a beach home in Oak Island which is less than an hour from my house. It worked out great since they could meet Brutus with their 6 year old dog named Chester on neutral territory.
Aka LOVED every minute of it. He and Brutus played like mad once Brutus had gotten his land legs back and had gotten a chance to potty. Chester at age 6 (I think) was very regal but he finally got into the playing mindset. He and Brutus are getting along great and their mom and dad are being very good about making sure Chester is still #1, etc.
Aka and Brutus, after they came back from outside, immediately dove into Aka's toy boxes and began to drag out every toy they could. Even Chester got excited by the squeaky toys.
After a great visit, they got everyone and thing loaded and headed back to Oak Island and I think they will be heading back to their main home in Wake Forest tomorrow.
I am tired, Aka is totally pooped but with the biggest grin on his little face!! We had a fun time.
Thanks again to EVERYONE on this transport!! I'm honored that I could be a part!! |
