for this girl - she is HW positive but ratbones will pay for treatment... she just needs a crate to crash in for 6 weeks..... she must be kept crated and still as possible but they said she is super loving, gentle and gives tiny kisses... she is not a typical wild rattie :-) so it would not be hard - she would probalby just love to lay in your lap.  Can anyone help??

I was told she did not get adopted and was euthenized...... but it is still more humane than the alternative....

sorry i should have been more specific as to why - as far as i know we dont have members in dfw area - and when kerry called about taking dotty back (before pam found her a home - thanks pam!!!!) they said they were working on a puppy mill that was closed and there were 150 dogs - so no room for additional fosters.. its just a case of not enough foster homes.... but there is always a good side and 2 ratties were adopted this weekend. there is one in mansfield and one in garland but they are pretty new to the system so i THINK they have a while before threat of the needle...

I think that most of our TX members are closer to the Austin area, but I'm not sure.

You wont believe this - i got an email from ft worth shelter about LADY!! SHE has been pulled off the web site but they were holding her to see if we could find a foster... the lady i talke to obviously was not aware of it and told me she had been put down. sooo...I sent an email to ratbone (becky) to see if they can pay for the HW treatment if I can find a foster...
