I'd hate to have to let him go but I think it's the best for everyone here at home.

His name is Mr. Biggs, he's almost 5 mos old. He's very, VERY shy so whoever takes him in will have to break him in. Afterwards, he'll be very loving. He still does have a few worms even though I don't think it's as bad as when he was a puppy. I did treat him once with the store brand but apparently the dose I gave him wasn't strong enough...

If anyone is interested, please reply to this post. I want whoever this is to be able to really take care of him and break him in and play with him and love him. I have played and loved him, but that was whenever I could. Most of the time I was studying or doing homework. There's a picture of him when he was 11 wks old.

What a cutie pie! If you would be interested in having a rescue assist in finding him a new home you can email ratbonerescues@ ratbonerescues.com (remove the space) to see about our Guardian Assistance Program.

I thought someone was taking hiim? Do you have time to at least take him to the vet for some wormer, he can get really sick from those worms and store brands just don't cut it. He is very sweet, I am sure you can place him pretty easily. Please do not take him to a shelter, we will do what we can to help you out. Have you placed any ads for him?

Thanks for the replies. No, this is my first ad, if I could call it that. Well, cmoody (if that's who y'all were talking about) was having some personal issues and couldn't take mister biggs in. So I came here. I'll probably e-mail ratboneresuces. Unless one of yall could take him in now. I definitely don't want to take him to a shelter or give him to some random person who will probably end up taking him to the shelter. Well, I have to go now. If y'all want, please e-mail me at pete343 at gmail [dot] com

Please contact ratbone rescue regarding placing Mr. Biggs. I'm sorry you are not able to work things out, but at least you're admitting it and doing what's apparently best for the pup. Whatever happens do NOT take him to a shelter. We will figure something out one way or another.

Maybe Bonita could foster him until ratbones could get involved. I would help with the vet bills to get his worms and stuff taken care of, that way he would be ready for ratbones to find him a forever home.

Crowley is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area.
I'd be willing to help out with him, but there is no way i'd be able to get out there before this weekend.
It is a 4-5 hour trip each way.

He is such a sweetie. I wish I could keep him. Haven't even mentioned anything like that to hubby yet. BUT he did send me the email about the two little males in Arkansas. Did anyone read that yet?

Maybe my bro would be willing to take him just until you can get there Bonita. He lives in Grapevine...where the DFW airport is. I would say he could help with the transport but he doesnt have a license....hmmm.....maybe he has a friend that could help!

Thank y'all a whole bunch. I may be able to talk my mom into driving me or even my sister. I dont drive yet, i have 6 mos till im "legal" hen ill be able to drive anywhere. but anyways, at least tell me a week in advanced to check w/ my mom.

Crowley is only minutes from southwest fort worth and about 15-30 minutes from Arlington, depending on traffic. I wouldn't even be crazy to ask my mom to take me to Dallas. I don't know how far she would want to go in any direction. I'm sure she doesn't want to spend an hour in the car one way and another hour going back...

Mr. Biggs is a very sweet dog, he just has to get used to you. I love him so much because he follows me EVERYWHERE. When I get home, he wakes up and just starts jumping all over me until I tell him to sit. Eventually he'll calm down enough to kinda squat. lol Then I'll stretch my arms out and he'll jump into them and I'll carry him outside.

I know we can all figure SOMETHING out and I can and will go and pick him up and meet someone somewhere else if needed. If you guys set soemthing up and need me email me bonita.rull@denovolegal.com if I'm not on here.

I mean, y'all cant really count on me traveling out of the metroplex so..

Y'all, I'm getting fed up. Mr. Biggs is now just going in the kitchen WHENEVER he pleases. I asked my sister to PLEASE walk him at 10:00 and at 12:00 because she doesn't do anything all day. Did she? NO. How the heck do they expect me to train a dog if they don't help? Yes, I know I wanted him but I'm not asking them to take full charge of him. He's not like an infant, he's so much less complicated and less of a liability. All I ask of them is to help me out because he isn't my only responsibility. Everybody nowadays has loads of responsibilities except my sister. Stay home, empty out the fridge, watch tv, surf the internet, baby sit. Could she at least just walk him during my school hours?

Sorry, i had to vent. If anybody can take him home this weekend, I think everyone around here would breath a little easier...literally.

And what irritates me even more is how my older sister is complaining how I don't know how to train dogs and all this crrud, and how if it were her, mr. biggs wouldn't be the way he is. But as I do recall, I was the one that ALWAYS went outside to walk all her dogs while she was going on doing her business.

Sorry, I'll literally be waking up at 5:00 o'clock every morning, hours before I even have to get ready for school, and he's already taking a nice poop and pee. I come home, poop and pee EVERYWHERE in the kitchen. It's frustrating, I hope y'all can understand.

And yes, I do walk him before I go to bed and he does his business. But apparently he seems loaded. I'm also thinking that it's because of the worms.

Just in case y'all are wondering why I haven't taken him to the vet, I've got a couple of reasons: 1 no money; 2, my mom works all week from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, and also works Saturdays. Then my dad almost always needs the car whenever she gets back home to run errands; the only time I have left is Sunday. I'm sorry, I just keeping harpin on and on. I want him to have a better home.

hummm welcome to my world(MOMs)! Well its better than getting it ALL train'd and the kid desides DON"T WANT IT ANYMORE!Have you thought about taking pup with you? When I had a new pup a couple of years ago I was have'n to work 12 yrs! so as I was crate training anyway(you are crate training RIGHT!?)at break time I would go out to the car(in the crate) and walk the pup I know it  was winter/spring so not hot or cold ,so have you thought about that? Also depends on your laws too NorthCarolina you can leave 'um the the car(in crate) not california! but I had a truck w/ camper shell so it worked for me! Or do you have a friend? (parents)that would help? its hard to have time to properly! train a pup but its not for ever! and school will be out in a couple of weeks,You just need someone consistant!this  is important time for the pups, you can't get this time back!!That is why I had my daughters pups totally train'd and they where 5 mons old by the time they went home I Know they didn't have the time to do a PROPER job!by then they can wait till school get out.

Pete,

Please hang in there a little bit longer. We'll get something figured out.

Bonita,

I didn't think we were ready yet either, but adopting Jack is somehow making me feel better. I didn't think it would. And Mr. Biggs is awfuly cute. It does look like you have a lot on your plate right now, though. So I completely understand.

Lori, it if were just my decision I'd have said yes in a heart beat (and probably have 30 dogs). I have to respect Adam on this one.
Like I said though, I am more than willing to pick him up and transport him somewhere, or keep him over night.
