Just look at little Ladybug. Is she not the cutest wittle thing ever?????

Meet Ladybug ,born the first week of September, this little gal is full of life. She and her litter mates spend hours playing, exploring unchartered territory and keeping watch over those fury felines. When it's time for a nap there's no place she'd rather be then snuggled up on a lap.

Ladybug will do best in a busy household; another young dog her size to play with would be just grand. She is doing very well with housetraining but will need someone who is home most of the time so she can perfect this skill.

Rat Terriers are energetic little dogs; they typically love to dig and are good climbers. Ladybug will need a fenced in yard but should not be left for long periods unattended.

Ladybug will probably weigh 8-10 lbs when full grown and due to her current small size, she will not be placed in a home with very young children. She would make a great companion for older children and a welcome addition to any home that is somewhat familiar with the traits of a terrier.

Ladybug has had two of her three puppy shots, has been spayed and will be ready for her new home around the end of December.

It's hard to believe that she would still be needing a home two months after she was ready to go home. She is too adorable. Look how big her head is compared to her body, adorable.

What a sweetie she is!! Too bad my BIL wasn't a dog person & coming this way, I would have him "bail" her out for me. Unfortunately she is probably still there because in her listing they say: Rat Terriers are energetic little dogs; they typically love to dig and are good climbers and most people who are not familure with Rat Terriers wouldn't understand that not ALL Ratties are like the discription they give.

When you own a Rattie....you KNOW you are in your right mind

THE MEANING OF RESCUE

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

She is absolutely adorable. If only I had room, but alas I don't. She would fit in so nicely here, hubby would absolutely kill me. You should have seen his face when I told him 2 rescues were coming, oh well, he will love them as well as her if she was here.

She is adorable! Hopefully she will find a forever home soon, but she is safe until that happens. If you click on the link in her petfinder description, you'll see she is not at a shelter, but with a rescue organization already

I just showed her to my husband...he's in love!! now I really do wish she was closer . I have NEVER seen him react like this (except for Spanky), he just kept standing there staring at her picture. She would be a perfect playmate for Spanky, she is only a month older than him and they are around the same size . I sure hope she finds the loving home she deserves.

Oh Patricia please don't tempt me! We really want to wait until we see where my husbands job is going to take us before adding another Rattie. He is waiting to hear back for a job in New Orleans & IF he takes it he will be going there & I will be either going to Florida or another part of Alabama. I know this sounds strange but, neither of us want to stay where we are here & I don't want to go to New Orleans, to be honest, it scares me. Let me talk to him when he gets back from town (I sent him out in the cold LOL) and see. I just hate the thought of getting her and she gets settled in & then having to uproot her to move.I know they adjust, I just want what would be best for her, I don't want her to wonder where she is going next, I want her to feel secure, if this makes sence.

It does make sense. I just wanted you to know if you really wanted her that the travel part would be doable. I don't think I would want to go to New Orleans either being it is so unsettled.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I know he really likes her as I said in my other post and I'm still shocked at the way he just stood at stared at her picture, maybe she IS the one . Maybe by Monday we will know something about the job. I guess I could always stay here another month to let her get settled..sheeesh, this is a HARD decision! I know Spanky would love to have a "buddy" to play with "Rattie" style and I do think she would be a wonderful addition. Nothing like being between a rock & a hard place .

hehe...well your being very fair to think about her stability....
Michael and I were looking to buy a place when we were looking for dogs. We were going to wait until after we moved, but then we met Trixi. We went ahead and brought her home (of course!) and then we moved about a month and a half later...she had to get used to a new place, potty routine, etc, but it was fine. She was still with US right? I think that was the most important part!!
Not trying to talk you into it, but if we hadnt decided to go ahead and get her she probably would have died of Parvo, she had it when we got her

I'm not as computer savvy as most of them on here so I posted their pics together in the photo section for ya. One of Ladybug standing in the snow and your avatar. They make such a cute couple. No pressure though.
