I have a puppy that I found wandering on a busy street.  I've tried and tried to find his home, but I can't.  I need to find him a new forever home really soon, as I have six other rescued dogs and have very little room.  He is sooooooo sweet....about five or six months old, tiny (about three pounds), gentle, frisky, housetrained...  Is there anyone who can help, or who wants to adopt?  I live in Alabama.  Please write to TheNestsOfBirds@aol.com

Do you have any pictures you can post & where in Alabama are you?

When you own a Rattie....you KNOW you are in your right mind

THE MEANING OF RESCUE

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

If you can't find who he belongs to and he is indeed a Rat Terrier, you may want to contact the rat terrier rescue group called Ratbones Rescue. You can email them at ratbonerescues@ratbonerescues.com
Tell them your story, your location and perhaps they can help.

Also what others have said is good too. Photos help and if you have his weight, height, colors, pattern etc. that helps too.
Good luck!

Oh wow, only 3 pounds!

Bless you for taking him in. We will do anything we can to help you find a home for him or like Cheryl said, get him in with Ratbone Rescues.

Thanks for recommending she contact Ratbone Rescues...we're on the case!  I've been notified of this little rattie and have an email in to Linda.

I cannot imagine such a little guy wandering the streets.  Thank goodness Linda found him and got him to safety.

The quickness was thanks to a member of this forum who sent an SOS to Ratbone.

It takes us all working together!

I am trying to post the picture of this baby that I sent to Ratbone last night. Caroline immediately jumped on it and contacted someone in Alabama. Hopefully, they are getting the handsome boy soon. Can someone refresh me on how to post a picture?
