| I just checked the link to the ad she placed...the ad was placed just yesterday! And she's decided to take the rattie to the humane society this week. She hasn't even given the ad a chance to find a home for the poor rattie. |

MB, has she already taken her to the pound? I'm willing to take her, we just have to figure out how to get her to me in Florida. What else can I do?

But we are planning on moving in about 3 months so I will have room then. It doesn't matter, just get her to me and I will take care of her.

| I don't know, I know Phil and I can't afford a flight right now after Ratty's surgery and preparing to buy a house. But right now, I hate to say it, but we would need help to fly her to me in Miami. Is anyone able or willing to help me with that? I hate to ask but it is all I can do. |

| She is so pretty. I hope she checks back and doesn;t just dump her. Really, she is upset that this girl spends all day in a crate but is willing to drop her off at a shelter where she will live in a cage and possibly be put to sleep? There has to be something else going on here. |

Janie: I am sure that we could raise the funds necessary to cover Tempe's travel costs. Though I am not one to discuss my personal life/issues much here, I am, for numerous reasons, not able to at this time.
I've done some quick research, and it appears that Continental Airlines has an excellent pet travel program. Weather forecast for the Salt Lake City area for Saturday is 46*, and Continental flies to Houston and the Ft. Lauterdale (is that close enough?) so any weather issues should be minimal. There is online tracking available for animals shipped through Continental, but you have to contact the Live Animal Desk (800.575.3335 or 281.553.5052) for current rates. |

| Continental is very reasonably priced for flying pets, and they have a heated cargo area on some of their flights, they just don't have an air conditioned cargo area. |

| Has anyone contacted Ratbones to see if they have a foster home in this area? Maybe we can give it a day or two to see if anyone on this site is close and wants the baby....Have we contacted the owner herself to see if shes been taken to a shelter yet and if so, which one? Just curious and not trying to dump it on someone specific, but I am wondering if there is a less traumatizing, more cost effective (than flying her) option...Plus, Janie, you guys have been through alot with Cameo and Rattigan, maybe you should let the two of them settle in together before taking in another...you have such a great heart, but things are finally calming down a bit in your house.....hmmm...this poor baby.... |

I just talked to Alisa...she still has the dog and said that she was hoping something would work out by the end of the week. I told her there were a few people working on it on this website and we may be able to find her a home and that I just wanted to make sure that SHE is still the contact person and she is. I did not get into a lot of detail about the interest on the site, but mentioned that she may need to transport her to a local EDIT: airport if the interested person is far away and she said ok!
Glad Tempe is still with Alisa, but from our conversation it seemed like she may only keep her at home until the end of the week. |

| In addition to sending this information to Ratbones, I've sent it to American Rat Terrier Rescue, Rat Terrier Resq, and an individual in Neveda listed on the Rat Terrier Club's list of rescue links. So hopefully one of these groups will be able to assist in keeping this girl out of a kill shelter and getting her fostered and/or adopted to a forever family. |

| Do we know if there are any "issues" with this pretty girl? I know she would need to be spayed, but any behavior issues, potty issues etc? It seems like there must be something with how they all of a sudden need her to go. She is far away but I dunno, hubby may like her. I just have no time right now for a dog that comes with a lot of issues, you know? Just curious if there was a way to find out from her all the dogs background. |
