Maybe Tracey could do a new map routing Henry through Oklahoma and Texas, so that you and I could meet him too. 

and through San Diego too!!

Now I just hope dschauber (or someone else!)  comes on here really soon and sees that it is possible to transport him, and then adopts him up really really quickly!

I am going to call the shelter today and tell them that I am going to adopt him.  I can drive the last two or three legs of the journey. I can pick up Henry in Cumberland MD, Morgantown WV, or Washington PA. As for when, I will keep you posted after I get ahold of the shelter today.

I can't believe this is actually happening, this is so great. I keep telling Jack he is probably going to get a brother very soon.  He seems excited, but I don't think he knows why.

(by the way, I keep trying to put Jack's picture up as my avatar, so you all can see him, but it never works. any thoughts?)

If this all goes like we plan, who will be the person to get Henry from the shelter. After I set everything straight with the shelter in an hour, I can start making plans with that person (ie. how to get them the money for his adoption and carrier, etc).

I posted an update on the other thread, sorry. I talked with the president of the humane society and she is very excited for Henry to get adopted. She said it would be fine for me to adopt him out of state and thinks the transport is really great. She only needs to know the first and last names of the person picking him up from the shelter and how the journey will proceed.  It was suggested that I send her the link to this thread but from talking with her, it seems as though technology is not her strong suit.

Oh this is such a great day. She said Henry is a great little dog, and she is so happy he will have a good home. I can't believe I'm this close to getting another rattie to love.

Now we just have to figure out exactly when we can pull this off, and if we have enough people.
