Oh I just can't wait to tell the shelter that I am going to take him. Then we can really set up who's going to bring him where and when. You guys are so awesome!! I just can't wait. I can't sleep, and I've been up all night working. This is so exciting.

Alright, Carla, which of us is going to do the pick up. I'm about 1.5 hours from the shelter, but I have school until 1 or 2 everyday. Cory does work nights, so I could leave after school and pick him up. As far as money goes we'll figure that out.

I feel like a little kid on Christmas. I just can't wait. 10 minutes until I call. As for the money, its no problem. I can paypal whoever picks him up, if you all do that, or we'll work something out. I'll keep you posted with what the shelter has to say. I'm worried though, we might not have enough people to do the legs in IN and Ohio.

Oh that would be perfect. I would send enough to get him a kennelcab, little beddie/blaket, food, etc. Keep your fingers crossed that everything keeps working out. I am going to call and try to adopt him now, YEAH!

I just got off the phone with the president of the humane society. She is very willing to adopt him out to me. She only wants to know who will be picking him up, and how the journey will proceed. She sounded so excited!!!! She says that he is such a great little guy. God, I just can't stop smiling !

This is cool! I'm about 3 hours west of Henry. It would work best for me on a Saturday for a pick up unless i took a day vacation.One question would be, when is the best for someone to pick him up in Galesburg? So probly either Beth or I could pick him up depending on the Galesburg end. What exactly is a kennelcab? You would like that so he can have his own home for the whole trip? Congrats Dawn!

I think it would work best for me too if we started the transport on saturday. I would nights as a nurse and am working the 12th, 14th, 15th, and 16th, and its hard to change my scedule. If we got started on saturday I would definately be able to drive as far as I need to to meet up and bring him home. As for the kennelcab, that's just what we call a travel crate. He doesn't necessarily need one. I just thought it might be safest, with being on the road that much. I can drive as far as Morgantown, WV. And back home to Baltimore. The shelter president, Shirley, asked me to call her back this afternoon with as much as I know. Do you think I should give her one of your names, as the pick-up person, and then if it changes later I can always update her?

This is so awesome!! I am so excited and happy for Henry. Are we doing the transport this Saturday? I am free so I can help do whatever part of Ohio is needed on my end. Tracey, I am going to PM you my cell phone number in case I am not on line so if there are updates you can just call!! I am so very happy for Henry, 7 years young and is going to a good home!

You can find the transport plan under the Rescue forum and listed as Henry Transport (Iowa to Maryland)
