Hi everyone,
I am new to this sight and wanted to let you know that my husband and I are in the process of adopting a rescued rattie. Our adoption application was approved
today, Yeah!!  We have a meet and greet scheduled for this weekend.
Not long ago our beloved Misty (a 17 year old Toy Fox Terrier) passed away.  We really need a new little one in our lives.

When you own a Rattie....you KNOW you are in your right mind 
THE MEANING OF RESCUE
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.
Hmm... Yes there it is, right on the top
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.
I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things -
And take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never repack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?

Thanks for the good luck wishes.
Our meet and greet is tomorrow (Friday) and we are expecting nasty weather here in NE Ohio.  I hope it all works out.
I am so excited to meet this little guy that I can hardly sleep.

Hi Everyone,
Hurray! We had our meet and greet and Marley is now ours. We have named this 2 yr. old male Lord Dunmore the Duke of Albemarle. We will call him Marley. He already answers to his new name. We had our first walk and are now having play time. I wll try to post a photo as soon as I can.
