Rat Terrier

Size: Small
Age: Baby
Sex: Male
ID: Rescue

Notes: Kirby/Rescue is a 3 month old Rat terrier who is being cared for at the MCHS Private Rescue until he finds his forever home. He’s a bit shy at first but warms up very quickly. He just came in so he still has to get used to everything. The owners got him as a Christmas gift and, although it was fun for the kids at first, they got tired of him so the parent’s brought him to us. We see this happen way too often. The adopter will need to be home during the day to let him out and socialize and train him. They are high energy dogs and needs lots of attention and exercise. If you are the right person for him, come on by and see him or call for more information.

This pet is up to date with routine shots.

It hasn't even been a month since Christmas and they lost interest in the pup already. Guess he was just a temporary play toy til they went back to school. How sad. And how ignorant of the parents to not know any better.

oh that poor baby. He's such a beautiful pup. Makes me want to hunt down every sorry sucker that treats a dog this way. Turds, I guess it's a good thing for the children that they didn't get tired of them and throw them out like an old shoe.

Horrible for the rattie and what has it taught the children? When my parents got a dog (and we only had 3 the whole time I was growing up) we kept them.
