My name is Cindy Duck. I have the sweetest Rat Terrier that I am desperate to find a home for. Her name is Alley. She is approximately 6yrs old. She is a loving mild-manner terrier who lives to be loved. Alley came to our family almost 3years ago. We adopted her from an elderly lady who could no longer take care of her since her husband passed. She has been such a joy but unfortunately due to our recent housing situation, we are unable to keep Alley. We are located in Chattanooga, TN. I have been networking with my co-workers and friends to find a home but I have been unsuccessful.. Please if you know of anyone in our area please have them contact me at cindyaduck@hotmail.com.

Thanks in advance.

Ok. I'm going to assume that this is a "no other choice" thing and you've tried everything else to keep her (at least that's what I hope). We've said many times here that we wish people who had to give up their ratties would let us know so we can help and that's what you've done, so hopefully we'll be able to offer you some assistance.

First (and I don't mean to offend or insinuate that you would) but whatever happens Do NOT take her to a shelter/pound where they euthanize. I am sure that if worse comes to worse there are no kill shelters near Chattanoga. I'll find a list for you.

Some more detailed information would be helpful. Is she housetrained? Good with other dogs, cats, kids, etc.? Is she crate-trained? Is she up-to-date on vaccinations and healthcare visits? What size is she? Is she spayed?

How long do you have until you absolutely cannot keep her any longer? What is the deadline?

Pictures would also be helpful. If you can't figure out how to get them on here, just e-mail them to me at teepee1970 @ yahoo.com (remove the spaces) and I'll post them on your behalf.

Yes, more information please. Have you contacted Ratbones rescue? Are you moving to a place that doesn't allow pets?
