So it seems we have two foster homes available. One in NY through Ratbones and one in the south through Rat Terrier ResQ???? Well, that's better than none  We need to confirm that we have someone available to go to the shelter and get him out and get him on a plane at the nearest available airport. Not sure who can be in charge of collecting funds to purchase a ticket. |

Yes, and it's likely the bulk of the transport can be ResQ volunteer to ResQ volunteer, which is nice!  |

That's fabulous!!!! Truly. Please keep us posted. If anything should fall through, we'd have to act quickly! I hope he's able to be gotten out and to his new foster home soon. And we'll definitely recommend him to anyone who might show up here looking for a new rattie  |

I have been working on my husband about this fostering him through the GAP program, but at the very least, I can go get him, keep him for a couple days (or longer), and then drive the first leg to where he needs to go next weekend. Or put him on a flight. I'll do whatever. |

Here is the scoop Anacodia, if you could pull the dog and transport him to the next person that would be great. We pretty much have a transport all set up except for getting him from the shelter to the next leg of the transport. Please give me your contact info.

whoohooo!! this is so awesome, I am soo soooooo happy for Verne right now!! Dawn actually called me on Sat. to let me know what was going on, and it just completely made my day! I can't wait to see the first photo of "Verne... free at last!"  |

I was thinking and praying for Verne all weekend, I am so happy he is getting pulled. The group of people on here are just astounding. I am so happy to be part of this site and such wonderful people. |

The lady who will foster Verne just hates that name and wants to name him Vinnie.
And God Bless our own Anacodia (where did you get that name?) for offering to pull him. I hope you can still do that. And I want to pledge cash to pull and for gas. I have your address Anacodia!

| Update as far as I know... Erika (Anacodia) will pick him up from the shelter on Thursday and he will be going on a transport to Portland Tennessee to be fostered for adoption with Rat Terrier ResQ. Hoo hoo. and God Bless all our rescue folks. We need them all. |
