This little guy is listed as a Corgi mix, but even though the picture is horrible, he certainly looks at least partly rattie to me --- just look at all that ticking!! Again, the picture makes it very hard to tell. He is located at Shasta County Sheriff Animal Regulation in Redding, CA. No name, just an ID #. Young, small, male:

Information from the shelter:

530-245-6065
Certificates for spay and neuter available to all new adoptions. Remember the Shasta County Animal Shelter when you are in the market for a new pet. This little guy is very cute and loves attention. He will not get very big and will make a good lap dog. He has big ears when he puts them up. he is very cute too. He is ready for adoption on 1-1-08.

Adopting a friend

To adopt your "Friend for Life" simply come to our shelter and browse. We have a varied selection of both purebred and mixed breed individuals that are begging for attention and a loving home. Our selection varies daily, so that if you don't see that special individual that tugs at your heart. Not to worry, we can place you on our Desired List for future notification. After selecting your "Friend", there is a $20 shelter fee, Vaccination fee of $5 each, and if the animal is unaltered, you make arrangements at a local Vet for it to be altered. We would deliver the animal to the chosen Vet, you pay, and pick up the animal directly from the Vet after altering. For more details or any questions, please feel free to contact us. Our goal is a loving, responsible home for all.

Tracey, Kill Shelters usually let dogs go around $30 or something don't they? I know Alice was $30 to pull. I am sure if there is a dog in danger in a shelter someone on here, myself included, would put that up to get the dog out. Just a thought when looking, maybe a more economical route and it would save a life?

That's usually about right. I'm not sure if the one I posted is a "kill" facility or not - though typically government run / county pounds usually are.

Tracey, I am not sure how to look up kill shelters in that area code but I am pretty certain you will LOL, any dogs in danger near here we can put up the money for.

Then on the way to Olive Garden you just say, "oh I forgot we have to make a stop" LOL!!

Call them, Angie. Ask if he's still there first of all. And ask if they euthanize and if so, how much time he has. Typically "pounds" that charge this low of a fee and don't bother assigning names, do so because the animals aren't there long BUT that may not be the case (I hope it isn't) If it is the case that his time is limited. Tell David....I don't think he would say no

He may be the one that insists on bringing him home if you can get him in there! (He doesn't read the threads here, does he? LOL)

I've never been to olive garden, i find it ironic though that the vet that will be caring for the guy gave us the gift certificate though...
And David isn't a member on the site and doesn't lurk from his computer but I'm on here ALOT and update him on rescues, situations with members, read aloud stuff on here, catch him reading over my shoulder, he looks at almost as many of the pics as I do, I have him ask me all the time how so and so is doing (Nibbler, Fry, Bo, Daisy, Mic and so forth,) never us humans by name it seems...LOL... by the way, he remembers most of your babies on sight! LOL a fact I find quite endearing! So iIm just gonna be a tad careful so I don't get him all upset
he's the kind that won't admit it but Shiloh owns him heart and soul

well that was fun... I got to brag on you guys a bit and find out that this little man is in no danger. He's aprox. 6 mos old, intact, the charge a fee of 70 and you get back 40 after they have proof you've had him altered, he seems well socialized with the other dogs, he was brought in as a stray on dec 20th, so no name...

well...I told her it could be a few days before I could arrange anything and she said seriously, he's in no danger, so that's good... I'll show him to John of course when he's home in 3 hours... david said he'd be busy most of the day so I guess I'll have to work on him tonight... and the money... dang I hate being poor
I'll sort it out though I'm sure
from what I can see of him he looks cute I like the smile, shiloh is a smiley girl
and that ticking is adoreable!

I am sure we can all find a way to help you...........

I think this little Guy is adorable. I watched a Breed All About It on Corgi's once, big herding dogs. Some will actually nip at your heels to herd you up if they think you are in danger. LOL, they shed twice a year but their coats are pretty easy to maintain with simple brushing. High energy dog but does not need a big outside, they are good indoor players.

They're good. Laying around at home. Fry is in a crate since Nibbler keeps trying to mark him or chew on the cast.
