Saturday morning we took Bob (our friend who is going through a divorce) out to the rescue and I am so happy to say he and Peter totally bonded with each other.  Peter went up and licked his face and was jumping and so happy, it was almost like he knew he was going to a home. He was so good in the car, he just sat and looked out the window. We got him back to Bob's house and he looked around and then we played with his new toys, showed him his new Taj Ma Crate (his crate is layed out!), gave him a nice big bone and let him settle in. Bob even made him his own special window ledge perch so he can look out. We called later that night and they were eating Pork Tenderloin together as a welcome home meal and Peter sleeps in bed with him now. The house felt less empty IMMEDIATELY and you could see Bob was already talking to him and taking him outside and yesterday they went to PetSmart. It feels so good to have been part of another rescue finding a home. There is nothing in the world like that feeling.

Here is Peter:

The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too

What a great heart-warming story I'm so glad that Peter and Bob have each other --- sounds like they both could use a friend!!!

(You know, Peter looks like he might, just might, be part rattie....maybe Bob should join here and keep us informed and make some more friends Just a thought!)

LOL, I already tried that I got the "we have to work at our jobs" lecture from him and Guy!! I told him when he got home and he said "I will be to busy playing with Peter". I had no arguement to that!!

CongRATs to Peter and Bob. Another happy ending for a precious animal and a human heart saved from depression and lonliness. Peter is a good looking boy.
