Hi my name is Diane, and i need help desperately,
On November 25th, 2007, at the young age of 45, my brother passed away after a 30 year struggle with diabetes, he endured numerous surgeries and complications thru the years. He had three transplants, 2 pancreas transplants, and a kidney transplant which I donated to him on February 25th 1993. We were extremely close and this letter is very difficult for me to write, but I will give it my best shot.
I currently reside with my Mother, I moved into help with my father when he got cancer last fall, he passed away last Christmas morning . My mother and I, have truly had a horrible year, each day seems more difficult then the last, but we are trying our best. We have lost the two most important people in our lives in the past 11 months.
My brother was a true animal lover from birth. All of his animals thru out his life gave him unconditional love, pure joy and most importantly kept him going when times were really hard physically and emotionally. At the time of his passing he had two Rat Terriers, which need to be placed.
My mother has two dogs of her own, and we are now caring for my brothers two dogs. Four dogs is to just to much for us to handle, and it really isn’t fair to the dogs, they don’t get as much individualized attention as they deserve.
That is why we are looking to place Ponyboy and Bipo. Maybe you can help or know someone that can help me find a loving home for these charming boys. The are both rescues, so shelter environments are not an option, they would be traumatized. They need loving foster homes were they will be treated will love, kindness and given consideration for what that have endured. They are extremely loving dogs, both male, young adults, healthy, neutered and are between the ages of 3 and 5 (is our best estimate). They are located in Hamden, Connecticut, i will gladly talk to anyone that calls in reference to Pony and Bipo. Please email me and i will give you my phone number.
Since i'm new to the site, i could not figure out how to add pictures, so i added a link to photo's on flicker, Ponyboy is the mostly white one, Bipo is the most black one, the larger dog in some of the photo's was the best friend, she passed away last year from cancer, the man in the photo's is my brother Ken.
Thank you all
Diane
