Animal Abuse and Neglect at Puppy Mill Posted: [script removed] Dec 18, 2007 04:02 PM EST More than twenty desperately ill Chihuahua and Rat Terrier Puppies, along with adult males and females used in the breeding operation, were turned over to area rescue organizations after the owner died suddenly. There are several ways you can help. Volunteers caring for the dogs are in need of towels and blankets to wrap the animals in, and donations of pet care supplies are also needed. But the best way to help is to donate funds that can be used right now, for veterinary care and medicine for these desperately ill dogs. The Animal Rescue Foundation, or ARF, is spearheading the drive to save these dogs lives. If you can help, send donations to ARF at Post Office box 53501, Lafayette, la 70509, or log on to the group's website, www.arfla.org, to make a PayPal donation. Volunteers will also be on hand this Sunday at Pet smart to accept your donations. When the puppies are given a clean bill of health, you can log on to the ARF website, arfla.org, to find out how to adopt or foster.
