I just met a woman at the dog park today who has a 10 year old female rat terrier that she needs to find a home for.  "Rizzo" is a sweet little dog and I thought about taking her but my 18 month old female rat terrier "Bentley" is too energetic and too territorial to allow for another dog in "her" home.

Do you think the age difference between them could be a problem?  I have never had two dogs before and I am a little overwhelmed by the thought of having double vet bills, food costs, etc.

If anyone can provide a little insight or who could consider taking "Rizzo" please respond, thank you!!!

sorry---this thread must have gotten 'buried'---I didnt see it till just now.  I have 5 dogs, so I never see a problem with owning more than one---in fact, I can't imagine only having ONE dog, myself.

I can't help in the rescue of Rizzo, by adopting him.  because I am located in Indiana---nowhere near Vegas, and besides, I already have 5 dogs.

Thanks everyone!!  I am nervous about owning more than one dog.  I think I am worried about the cost.  I truly appreciate the responses.  I think I can't handle the responsibility of two dogs right now.  Hopefully Rizzo will find a loving home soon.

Thanks again!!!
